Vikings arrived at Kielder Water with a replica longship. Kielder Water Sailing Club hosted Regia Anglorum re-enactors and it was a great opportunity to see traditional skills in action.

Traditional boat building skills which the Vikings used are kept alive by present-day boat builders and organisations like the North East Maritime Trust , which restores traditional vessels, and Blyth Tall Ship which trains young people in traditional boat building and engineering skills.
