Just planted the last half-packet of broad beans, left over from the Weekends at the Museums evaluation sessions last year.  With National Museums Northern Ireland and the Belfast Education and Library Board, we did some evaluation sessions with parents who had taken part in the Weekends programme. They used the beans for voting on statements about their visits, and then took them home to plant - and read about Jack and the Beanstalk.

Needless to say they are a heritage variety of bean - Bunyard's Exhibition, a variety which is over 100 years old.
