Icelandic Geyser - Stokkur

To Iceland, to see lava and geysers, and find out in the National Museum how Iceland was settled around 870 AD. Settlers came from Norway and Celtic Britain, bringing all their possessions - including their livestock - in open boats. The feisty Icelandic horses are all descendants of the early settlers' horses; no horses have been allowed into Iceland since 1100, to preserve the bloodlines and prevent the import of diseases.
