Reedbeds at East Chevington, Northumberland
The reedbeds at East Chevington were created as part of the drainage scheme for the former open cast mining site. Northumberland Wildlife Trust received funding from DEFRA's Species Survival Fund to improve the biodiversity at East & West Chevington and Hauxley, beside the Northumberland Coast, and I was appointed to carry out the project evaluation. I have evaluated other natural heritage projects for Northumberland Wildlife Trust, Kielder Water & Forest Park Development Trust and Tees Heritage.
